Ruth’s goal is to create environments that embody what she terms "dwellness," a concept where spaces are aligned with our needs for a fulfilling and balanced life.

Drawing from her Kenyan heritage, Ruth incorporates a global perspective into her projects, enabling her to design spaces that are not only accessible but also uniquely styled. She prioritizes sustainability by thoughtfully blending contemporary elements with antique and vintage pieces, and utilizes recycled and upcycled materials to create a refined yet enduring aesthetic.

As the co-owner of Dwellness by Steinmetz in Winooski, Vermont, Ruth takes joy in designing and curating lifestyle pieces. In her role as principal at Steinmetz Interiors, she collaborates closely with skilled craftsmen, makers, and fellow designers to realize spaces that reflect the essence of true dwellness.

Brian has been a licensed Vermont real estate agent since 2015, having been involved in over 125 transactions - from land lots, residential, condos, and commercial investments.

As an eighth-generation Vermonter, raising the ninth, he carries a deep knowledge and understanding of the area. He grew up in Essex (Go Hornets!) before attending Champlain College and UVM. As a history buff and natural storyteller, Brian loves learning about and discovering new places in his home state.

He believes that every home has a story to tell, and would love the opportunity to tell yours.

Executive Assistant

Parker has a passion for organization and helping others. Whether streamlining systems or supporting colleagues, they are always ready to lend a hand and make things run more smoothly.

Originally from Maryland, they came to Vermont to attend Champlain College and fell in love with the area. After getting their Master's in Museum Studies they worked in arts administration as well in community organization within Chittenden County.  With a passion for homes and interior design they're excited to assist Steinmetz in a supportive role. Their calm, solutions-focused approach ensures that leadership can focus on big-picture goals while knowing the day-to-day operations are in expert hands.
